Description

Towards a Culture of Harmony & Peace edited by Dr. T.D. Singh (H.H. Bhaktisvarupa Damodara Swami) with a foreward by Desmond M. Tutu. Contributions from religious leaders, interfaith participants, scientists, social justice and empowerment workers, etc., including six Nobel Laureates in Peace, three Nobel Laureates in Chemistry, the president and the prime minister of India.

This volume, containing profound thoughts and insights from over forty prominent thinkers of the world, aims at generating some possible direction and guidance on harmony and peace for all of us at this most critical juncture of humanity. The volume grew out of the International Summit entitled “Towards a Culture of Harmony and Peace” organized by Delhi Peace Summit in partnership with the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions held at New Delhi from December 7-10, 2003. Also included in this volume are a few invited articles and messages from prominent scientists and leaders of the world. This volume is divided into six major sections.

The inspiring foreword by Archbishop Desmond M. Tutu containing his profound thoughts on the necessity of forgiveness and togetherness for world peace is an invaluable contribution to this volume.
