Iskcon founder Acharya His Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta swami Prabhupada has founded many schools called as gurukula in 1972 in Dullas and Texas in order to give spiritual knowledge and awaken Krishna conscious to the children. Following in the foot steps of His Divine Grace, his followers later on continued to open more gurukulas around the world. Srila Prabhupada understood the necessity to awaken Krishna conscious in early age of life. In this regard Prahlada maharaja has said in Srimad Bhagavatam, "kaumara acaret prajna" One who is sufficiently intelligent should use the human form of life to practice the activities of devotional service from the very beginning of life. Every one of us is suffering in this material world. There is no doubt that even rich, poor, fools, learned, atheistic all living beings are suffering, and the main reason for our suffering is forgetfulness of Krishna.
